Hey Lauren! I've been following your newsletter for a while now and never knew it started as a book. I'm excited to check it out - though I wonder if I can find it anywhere else besides Amazon? Let me know :)
Thanks for sharing—I’ll be sure to check out your post during my next Substack reading binge (just saved it) 🤓
The book version of Global Natives is only available on Kindle right now (all other versions are out of print) but I’ll be sharing all the book’s contents right here, one chapter at a time.
At the end of that process, who knows—maybe there’ll be a new print edition if enough folks are interested ✨
Right on. I'm an American living in Madrid, Spain. My wife and I moved here 6 months ago. We're on the NLV, not the digital nomad, but we're going to apply possibly for the DN for Thailand when our one year is up here. (It's going to either be Thailand or Albania.) Love the travelling outsider experience. Your book sounds interesting.
Nice to e-meet you, Michael! And, also, people don't say "right on" enough these days, let's bring that back over the weeks ahead 😊
What made you choose the NLV and how does that differ from the Spanish nomad visa? I'd love to keep in touch about your experiences with the various visas as you tackle them--I'm involved with a project aiming to simplify and ease the application process, and real-world insights from nomads are very welcome 🙌
Grande Laura, always inspired by your journey! Sometimes we need to retreat.
Thank you, Dario! It’s lovely to see you here 🫶
Look forward to running into you somewhere sometime! Please let me know when you’re in Amsterdam 😊

Also, I recently published a piece on my Substack newsletter about Nomadism which I want to share with you: https://open.substack.com/pub/valelefante/p/my-adventures-in-nomadism-a-history
I'd love to connect some time if you're open to it!

Global Natives is such a great book, I can’t wait for more of the world to discover it (and to re-read it myself) ❤️
🥺🙏❤️
